The legendary American boxer remembered one of his possible opponents, who was accused of cheating.

Floyd Mayweather remembers Antonio Margarito, calling him a fraud. He also expressed his satisfaction that he did not face Margarito in the ring.

According to the legendary former world champion in five weight categories, such a fight could cost him his career.

“Not everything goes the way you want. You just can’t box with everyone, so there’s always something to say about this or that opponent. ‘Floyd didn’t fight that, Floyd didn’t fight.’ All the guys were boxed before I was placed

As for the fight with Antonio Margarito, I’m glad the fight didn’t happen. I value my career. Whatever happens in boxing. Antonio Margarito is a rogue. That being said, he did just that. Did you see what happened to Miguel Cotto when he boxed him for the first time. It could very well be me in his place,” said SecondsOut Boxing News to Mayweather.

Note that in 2009, Margarito was caught with a substance similar to plaster, where he soaked the bandages on his hands to enhance the punch.

After that, Margarito’s victory over Miguel Cotto last year was called into question, and Antonio himself and his trainer Javier Capetillo were stripped of their boxing licenses for a year.

Let’s remember that Mike Tyson was once named the most sensational boxer in history.
