Russian boxer David Avanesian lost to American Jaron Ennis in a fight for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) world title in the welterweight category (up to 66.68 kg).
The fight took place in Philadelphia and ended with Avanesyan refusing to continue the fight after the fifth round.
Ennis became the full owner of the IBF belt, having previously held the interim world title.
For Avanesyan, 35, the loss was the fifth of his career, with 30 wins and one draw. Ennis, 27, earned his 32nd win in 33 fights, with one fight declared a no contest.
