The father of Canadian boxer David Lemieux has been killed in a shooting in Montreal.
At the scene of the shooting, police found the body of a 64-year-old man who had been shot at least once in the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Montreal Gazette sources have confirmed that the 64-year-old victim is André Lemieux, father of professional boxer David Lemieux. Later, the boxer confirmed his father’s death via social media.
David Lemieux, 33, is a former IBF world champion (2015) and WBO (2017) middleweight title contender.
