“Ramzan Akhmatovich supports me constantly and everywhere. It’s not just about sports, but also about life. Thanks to him, I returned to sports after an illness in 2021. But Kadyrov brought me back. and I thank him for everything he does for me. Not only for me, but for the whole of Chechnya, the whole of Russia where we need help, he helps everyone – both in sports and in sports.

When I was in a difficult period because of the illness, I said that I was quitting sports. Then Ramzan Akhmatovich called me and said: “I will help you with your health. You need to return to big sports.” He really helped me and I returned to big sports. So we continue. (Smiles.)” – said Chimaev.
