Tim Tszyu to hold IBF title qualifying fight in September

Australian boxer Tim Tszyu According to the International Boxing Federation (IBF), there will be a qualifying fight for the junior middleweight world title with American Erickson Lubin, the promotional company No Limit Boxing reports.

The fight will take place on September 22 in Sydney (Australia).

“I’m looking forward to getting the title. I’m not the type to sit back and wait. I’ll come back to win,” Tim Tszyu said.

Tszyu lost by split decision to American Sebastian Fundora in Las Vegas (USA) at the end of March, suffering the first defeat of his career. Early in the fight, the 29-year-old Australian received a cut. Tszyu failed to defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) world title and win the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) junior middleweight belt.

American Lubin has 26 wins and 2 losses.

No Limit Boxing also reported that Tim’s younger brother, Nikita Tszyu, 26, will defend his Australian title against Cohen Mazoudier on August 28.
