A sixteen-year-old boxer from the town of Shebekino in the Belgorod region has died as a result of the shelling of the town, the Russian Boxing Federation reports.
After explosives were dropped from a drone on a playground, eight children were injured, including a student of the Sports Academy. He ended up in intensive care, and doctors fought for his life for several days, performed an operation, but were unable to save him.
The deceased young athlete was a winner of the Belgorod region boxing championship.
Shebekino is a town in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, near the border with Ukraine.
