Among the arguments – the re-election of Prodivus was carried out in violation of the FBU Statute
New President Boxing Federation of Ukraine (FBU) Kirill Shevchenko sent an appeal to International Boxing Association (IBA), which gives arguments why Vladimir Prodivus is the illegitimate president of the FBU.
Among the arguments, the re-election of Prodivus was carried out in violation of the FBU Statute, and Prodivus himself left Ukraine on the first day of the Russian military invasion.
He also invites an IBA observer to the next FBU conference, which is scheduled for September 9th.
Recall that the European Boxing Confederation, and earlier the IBA, recognized Vladimir Prodivus as the current and legal president of the FBU.
On February 22, an extraordinary reporting and election conference of the FBU was held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. Representatives of 17 regional federations elected Kirill Shevchenko as the new president of the FBU.
On June 20, the Boxing Federation of Ukraine sent an open letter to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, in which it announced the raider seizure of the organization.
In May, Prodivus joined the IBA Board of Directors. Russian Umar Kremlev was re-elected as the President of the International Boxing Association, however, due to a number of violations, new elections of the head of the organization will be held.
