President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Oumar Kremlev said the organization was opening an investigation into the head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach .
On Tuesday, at the 142nd IOC session in Paris, the decision was taken to exclude the IBA from the list of recognised international federations.
— We are launching a public investigation against Thomas Bach and his team, recording all IOC violations regarding athletes. Each athlete can send their complaints to the email address indicated in the open letter to the IOC leadership, national Olympic committees and all members of the sports community,” Kremlev wrote on the Telegram channel.
In the released video, the Kremlin said the appeal on behalf of the boxing community included a demand for Bach’s “immediate resignation.”

In April, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) dismissed the IBA’s appeal against the IOC Session’s decision to withdraw the organisation’s recognition. In 2019, the IOC temporarily withdrew the IBA’s recognition status for economic reasons and due to a management crisis within the organisation, and also presented demands for reforms.
