After the UFC 304 tournament, held in Manchester (United Kingdom), the president of the organization, Dana White, suggested that the UFC would not renew Mokaev’s contract due to his possible departure to the PFL, another fighting organization.
On the night of July 28, at UFC 304, Muhammad Mokaev defeated Angolan Manel Kape in the flyweight division by unanimous decision. For Mokaev, this victory was the seventh in seven fights under the auspices of the UFC.
