Current UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling will face former league champion TJ Dillashaw at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi on October 22.
The Americans fight will be the co-main event of the tournament. Brazilian Charles Oliveira will face Russian Islam Makhachev in the main event. They will compete for the lightweight title.
In April, Sterling defeated Russian Petr Yan by split decision to retain the title. Dillashaw hasn’t played since July 2021, when he was stronger than compatriot Corey Sandhagen on points.
