Two transgender athletes who previously failed a gender test will compete in the women’s tournament in Paris.

The organizers of the Paris Olympics allowed former men to participate in the women’s boxing tournament. They are Iman Khelif from Algeria and Lin Yuting from Taiwan.

Note that both drag queens have participated in women’s boxing competitions: Lin won the world championships in 2019 and 2022, and Iman won silver in 2022.

However, in 2023, Iman Khelif from Algeria and Lin Yuting from Taiwan failed the gender test and were disqualified from the World Championships.

However, the International Olympic Committee did not consider this and said that these boxers are women and can participate in competitions.

“It has been established that they are women. All participants in the Olympic Games follow and respect the selection rules,” IOC spokesman Mark Adams was quoted as saying by The Guardian.

Khelif and Yuting also competed in the previous 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. However, in 2023 they were disqualified after the gender test. Lin Yuting was stripped of bronze in the up to 57 kg weight category, and Khelif was eliminated from competition in the up to 66 kg category. The reason is increased testosterone levels.

At the Paris Olympics, Khelif will fight his first match on Thursday, Lin Yu-Ting on Friday.

We remind you that earlier in the Olympics two athletes were given a false flag.
