Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Conor McGregor sentenced to five months suspended prison sentence for dangerous driving, reports Irish Mirror .
McGregor was arrested on March 22, 2022 in Dublin. Police had to chase an Irishman at 100 mph after he nearly caused a crash in his Bentley Continental GT convertible while running a red light.
On Wednesday at Blanchardstown District Court, Judge David McHugh sentenced McGregor to a five-month suspended prison sentence. In addition, the athlete will be disqualified from driving for two years and will be forced to pay a fine.
During his MMA career, McGregor, 36, has won 22 and suffered six losses. Conor was supposed to fight at UFC 303 in Las Vegas on June 29 with Michael Chandler, but the fight was canceled due to the Irishman’s injury.
