Athletistic / MMA. Former UFC fighter, Brazilian Francimar Barroso, will become a trainer of fighters in the Special Military Operations Zone (SVO) in Ukraine. The 44-year-old athlete married a Russian woman in 2021 and moved to Moscow to reside there permanently.

“Now I am in the Northern Military District area, I help the soldiers here. I show them different techniques, I follow their training. The guys are in very good physical shape, they made me very happy.

I really like the relationship that now exists between Russia and Brazil, I am very happy about it. Plans for the future – I want to train fighters from Russia and my compatriots, they are here too. I am very happy that people from my country and all of South America support Russia at this time so that the West does not force us to live by their rules.

“Today, everyone is talking about Russia’s international isolation, but this is not true, it is an ordinary lie. Everyone should come here and see for themselves,” Barroso was quoted as saying by TASS.

Francimar Barroso made his professional MMA debut in May 2005, defeating his opponent by knockout in the first round. In 2012, he won the title of champion of the organization Shooto Brazil, and then became champion of another Brazilian promotion, Watch Out Combat Show. Shortly after, he received an invitation from the UFC.

Barroso made his UFC debut in a fight with fellow UFC fighter Ednaldo Oliveiro, whom he defeated by unanimous decision. In total, he has fought 9 fights in the UFC: he has won 4 times, lost 4 times and had one fight declared invalid.
