Athletistic/OI-2024. The World Boxing Organisation has said it has no objection to previously disqualified athletes participating in international competitions.

On August 1, in the 1/8 finals of the Olympic Games, Italian athlete Angela Carini refused to continue the fight with Algerian Iman Khelif. Khelif was suspended from the 2023 World Boxing Championships after failing a gender test.

“Iman Khelif took part in our competitions and we have no objections,” a representative of the organization was quoted as saying by TASS.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has accused the International Boxing Association (IBA) of being involved in a scandal involving the admission of two female boxers who failed a gender test. In response, the IBA has criticised the IOC’s decision to allow the athletes to compete at the Olympic Games.
