Hearn on possible return of Wladimir Klitschko: He can still do well at heavyweight

The question of the motivation of the legendary boxer is important

Famous promoter Eddie Hearn shared his thoughts on the possible return former world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko to the ring. The manager believes that the legendary Ukrainian boxer will resume his career if he finds motivation.

“The fact is that I discussed this with him about two years ago. Is a return possible? I think, yes, he can still show himself at heavyweight and show himself well. It’s just a question of motivation that you can still fight young and hungry guys, ”said Hearn.

“When Klitschko fought Joshua, he came face to face with a young lion who was nowhere near as good as the Ukrainian. He had no experience, but he simply did not give up, and Vladimir did not feel hungry then. He thought this was the last fight and he needed to give 100 percent.”

“Now it is no longer necessary. You miss this feeling, but the fights are no longer needed. And if you don’t want boxing because of money or competition, then you should stay away, especially when it comes to heavyweight. It will contain young and hungry lions that can tear you apart.”

Earlier, Vladimir said that he dreamed of breaking George Foreman’s record and becoming the oldest heavyweight world champion, but because of the war in Ukraine, he was forced to change his plans.

Wladimir Klitschko last fought in 2017, losing to Anthony Joshua by TKO in the 11th round.

In 2011-15, the Ukrainian held the WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO and The Ring heavyweight championship belts, but lost them to Tyson Fury.
