Ukrainian wins WBO Global light welterweight belt
WBF World Light Welterweight Champion Aram Fanian (25-2, 7 KO) defeated Mexican by technical knockout Juana Rodriguez and won the belt WBO Global.
The fight took place in Kyiv on August 3. Fanian’s fight became the central event of the boxing evening in the capital’s “Sports Palace”.
Aram dominated the entire fight. The Mexican was knocked down and received two cuts, but continued to fight. In the 11th round, Juan’s face was covered in even more blood. The referee called the doctor into the ring, who stopped the fight early.
Aram Fanian’s previous fight was on January 20, knocking out Mexican Francisco Mercado in a fight for the vacant WBF light welterweight title. This fight was the central event in the boxing evening at the Kyiv Sports Palace, organized by the Sparta Boxing Promotions company.
