Two suspects in attack on European boxing champion Dmitri Dvali detained in Crimea, reports the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.
Dvali, 23, a Russian and European boxing champion, defended the boy who was beaten by the crowd and was seriously injured during the fight. The Investigative Committee of Crimea and Sevastopol is establishing the circumstances of the fight, due to which Dvali could lose an eye.
— According to preliminary information, at least 8 people took part in the conflict; residents of the city of Feodosia and the Kirov region, born in 1998 and 2003, were detained.
Currently, a criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism), paragraph “a”, Part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous harm to health). The investigation into the criminal case is continuing, the development is being monitored by the Crimean prosecutor’s office, the message says.
Dvali, 23, is the 2024 European champion and 2023 world championship bronze medalist.
