“Taking into account the circumstances of the incident and the public outcry, the Chairman of the RF IC instructed the head of the Main Investigation Directorate of the IC of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol VN Terentyev to reclassify the actions of the attackers as attempted murder. The investigation is being conducted under the control of the central office of the department,” the statement said.
Dvali is the 2024 European champion and the 2023 world bronze medalist.
