Six accused of attempted murder of Russian boxing champion Dvali have been remanded in custody until September 29

Court chooses preventive measure for up to six suspects in attempted murder of Russian boxing champion Dmitri Dvali in the form of detention until September 29, reports the press service of the Investigative Committee of Crimea and Sevastopol.

Earlier it was reported that 23-year-old Dvali defended a boy who was beaten by the crowd and was seriously injured during the fight. The investigator establishes the circumstances of the fight, due to which Dvali could lose an eye. Initially, a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism), paragraph “a”, Part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm), but later, taking into account the circumstances and public outcry, the case was reclassified as attempted murder.

— At the request of the investigation, six residents of the Feodosia urban district, accused of attempted murder of the Russian boxing champion, were sentenced by the court to a preventive measure in the form of detention until September 29 inclusive.

The hearing against the other participants in the mass brawl is continuing, the statement said.

Dvali is the 2024 European champion and the 2023 world bronze medalist.
