Russian double Olympic champion Mavlet Batirov officially included in the United World Wrestling (UWW) Hall of Fame, according to the website of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR).
The ceremony took place on Monday in Paris as part of the start of the Olympic wrestling tournament.
Batirov became the 27th representative of Russia in the UWW Hall of Fame. Batirov, who competed in the weight categories up to 55 and 60 kg, won gold at the Olympic Games in Athens and Beijing. The Russian also won gold and bronze at the world championships.
