cuban wrestler Mikhalin Lopez became the first man to win five Olympic Games in an individual event.
Earlier Tuesday, Lopez, 41, won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling, beating Chilean Yasmani Acosta in the 130kg final.
The Cuban has won the last four Games, surpassing the feats of American swimmer Michael Phelps and his compatriot Carl Lewis, who have won gold medals in one discipline at four Olympics.
In women’s competition, Germany’s Birgit Fischer (kayak and canoe) has done better, winning eight gold medals in six Olympic Games.
The games in Paris will last until August 11.
