Athletistic / Boxing. The Secretary General of the European Boxing Confederation (EUBC) Kirill Shchekutyev reacted to the serious injury of Russian boxer Dmitry Dvali in a street fight. The official wished Dvali a speedy recovery and expressed a desire to help the Russian.
“EUBC wishes Dmitry Dvali recovery! He is an excellent boxer and a wonderful person. To say the least, we were shocked by what happened. I am sure that law enforcement will impose a fair punishment for this… I don’t have enough censored words at the moment.
“We really hope that Dvali will return to boxing. You can continue your boxing career either as a coach or as a functionary. Dmitry has sports experience and specialist knowledge can be acquired. EUBC is always ready to help Dmitri Dvali!” Shchekutyev said, as quoted by Match TV.
Last week in Feodosia, Dmitry Dvali defended a boy who was beaten by the crowd. As a result, the boxer himself was seriously injured in the fight – doctors diagnosed him with a fracture of the orbital bone. On August 6, the boxer underwent eye surgery. The Investigative Committee (IC RF) opened a criminal case under the article “Attempted Murder”. The court detained nine participants in the street fight for two months.
Dmitry Dvali is a European champion and World Championship bronze medalist.
