Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou will debut in the PFL fight promotion in October, according to website organizations.
Ngannou’s opponent will be current title holder Renan Ferreira. The title fight will take place on October 19 and will be Ngannou’s PFL debut.
Ngannou is 37 years old and has 17 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts.
In October 2023, he fought under boxing rules against British Tyson Fury and lost by split decision. In March 2024, Ngannou met in the ring his fellow Briton Anthony Joshua and lost by knockout in the second round.
Ferreira, 34, has 13 wins, three losses and three other fights have been declared invalid.
