The American boxer has not yet decided whether to hold a rematch with Kambosos in October
Undisputed World Lightweight Champion Devin Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) ready to accept an offer to fight with Vasily Lomachenko.
“I have nothing but respect for Lome, his country and what he has done for his country, his family. If we meet in the ring, so be it. If not, then no. I want to fight the best fighters. These guys should be calling me now because I’m the guy who has all the belts in our division.”
“Will I agree to fight Lomachenko in October if offered? Yes, of course,” Haney said.
Earlier, promoter Eddie Hearn called a possible fight between Haney and Lomachenko “colossal”.
In July, the Ukrainian announced his readiness to return to the ring. It is expected that Vasily will fight his fight on October 22 after a long pause.
Lomachenko fought his last fight in December last year, defeating Richard Commey by unanimous decision.
In the fight for the title of absolute world champion, George Kambosos lost to Haney by unanimous decision.
George activated the option of a rematch with Haney. Earlier it was reported that the second fight between Haney and Kambosos will take place on October 15 in Melbourne.
