“I am constantly in touch with Dmitry. The first operation seemed to go very well, now the athlete feels good. Dmitry is in good spirits, but he needs a month or two to recover. Perhaps the doctors will perform another operation on him. “It may not happen for less than a month. God grant that the doctors manage to save Dmitry’s eye. We are all very worried about Dvali and wish him health,” Farkhutdinov was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti Sport.
Dmitry Dvali was defeated on July 28 in Feodosia. During the fight, the Russian boxer was seriously injured, which is why he could lose sight in one eye. On August 6, doctors performed the first operation, which lasted four hours. There is a high probability that Dvali will be forced to end his professional career.
