Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov congratulated the Uzbek freestyle wrestler Razambek Jamalova by winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games.
In the final of the weight category up to 74 kg, the native of Dagestan Zhamalov defeated the Japanese Daichi Takatani. The bronze medalists were Chermen Valiev from North Ossetia, representing Albania, and Kyle Dake, an American. Previously, Zhamalov and Valiev played for Russia.
“Congratulations, Olympic champion,” Nurmagomedov wrote on social media, addressing Jamalov.
The Paris Olympics will end on August 11.
