In the final of the weight category up to 74 kg, the native of Dagestan Zhamalov defeated the Japanese Daichi Takatani. The bronze medalists were Chermen Valiev from North Ossetia, representing Albania, and Kyle Dake, an American. Previously, Zhamalov and Valiev played for Russia.
