Terence is keeping his plans under wraps for now.

Former absolute world champion in two weight categories Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) vacated the WBO welterweight belt.

The new world champion according to this version is Brian Normanwho was previously the “interim” champion. The 23-year-old boxer is expected to make his first title defense in December of this year.

In turn, Crawford has not yet revealed his plans. At the end of July 2023, he defeated Errol Spence and became the absolute world champion in the welterweight division. That victory was the fortieth in Terence’s career and the 31st ahead of schedule.

The undefeated American was later stripped of his IBF belt for failing to comply with his obligation to defend his championship belt against his designated challenger, Jaron Ennis.

But in August, Terence took the WBA light middleweight title from Israil Madrimov and became champion in the fourth weight category. Previously, the 36-year-old American held championship belts in the welterweight, light welterweight and lightweight divisions.

The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al Al-Sheikh, stated that he would make every effort to organize for Terence the long-awaited fight with the undisputed world champion in the super middleweight division, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.

Also expressing a desire to fight Crawford was WBO International welterweight champion Vergil Ortiz, who recently defeated Ukrainian Sergey Bogachuk and became the interim WBC light middleweight champion.
