Frank Warren shares his memories of the fight between British and Ukrainian boxers in Saudi Arabia.

Oleksandr Usik stopped Tyson Fury from knocking him out when the Briton came close to doing so. This opinion was expressed by the promoter of the former world champion Frank Warren.

According to the functionary, until the seventh round everyone believed that Fury was about to finish the fight ahead of schedule, but the Ukrainian made a painful blow from which the Briton could not recover.

“At the end of the seventh round, I and others felt that Tyson was closing in on Usyk and was going to knock him out in the next round. But this Usyk caught him with a punch to the nose, and this changed Tyson’s attitude in the fight that this.

I’ve never seen Tyson touch this part of his face so often with his glove. It was obvious that something was bothering him. And then the round was really not good for him, but he survived it because of his character,” Warren told Boxing Social.

We remind you that the Usyk-Fury rematch is scheduled for December 21 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

In the past, promoter Fury called Usik the best fighter of the generation.
