Martin climbs into the top 10 heavyweight boxers with his recent win over Anderson
Congolese heavyweight Martin Bakolethe WBO International champion, named three opponents he would like to fight after his victory over Jared Anderson.
The 31-year-old boxer’s wish list includes: Chinese Zhang ZhileiGerman Agit Kabayel and a New Zealander Joseph Parker.
“Right now, I want people at my level, people I’m allowed to fight because I’m No. 6 in the top 10. I’d like to fight someone who’s No. 7, No. 8, No. 9, No. 10. I’ll say Zhang, that would be a good fight. I want to stop that guy. I’ll say Kabayel, that’s a big fight. A good fight. And I’ll say Joseph Parker, that’s a good fight. Those are the three names,” Martin said.
Let us recall that on the night of August 4 in Los Angeles, Bacolet (21-1, 16 KO) won an early victory over Jared Anderson, inflicting the first defeat in the American’s professional career. The fight took place on the undercard of the fight between Terence Crawford and Israil Madrimov.
This success propelled Martin into the top 10 of the heavyweight rankings according to the authoritative magazine The Ring.
