Athletistic / MMA. Rizvan Magomedov, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager, revealed the details of the UFC legend’s problems with the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation. On July 1, it became known that the Federal Tax Service had stopped all of Nurmagomedov’s accounts due to debts related to tax payments, and also closed several of his companies due to the submission of false information.

“I can confirm that a check was indeed carried out against Khabib Nurmagomedov. All this time, we worked with the Federal Tax Service, provided all the necessary documents to the tax office in the prescribed manner, with a complaint to a higher tax authority, which was filed with a higher tax authority. checked everything and accepted our arguments.

We had a difficult question from the point of view of interpretation of legal norms regarding taxes in the amount of about 26 million rubles. Lawyers had one opinion, the tax authorities had another. Thanks to constructive work and after a check by a higher tax authority, we paid the above amount with all penalties in the manner prescribed by law.

“There was never any question of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s non-payment or tax evasion. We patiently waited for the tax authorities’ decision to finally pay the required amount. The situation was standard; it can happen to any citizen. Unfortunately, the media inflated this story to great proportions,” Magomedov was quoted as saying by Match TV.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has 29 wins in 29 MMA fights, including 13 wins in the UFC. Khabib fought his last fight in October 2020, when he defeated Justin Gaethje at the UFC 254 tournament held in Dubai (UAE). Immediately after the fight, the Russian announced his professional retirement. And on January 7, 2023, it became known that at that time, the Russian, still 34 years old, was leaving the MMA industry altogether.
