The former world heavyweight champion recalled fighting his compatriot in the ring.
Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua spoke about sparring with ex-champion Tyson Fury.
According to the former world champion, while sparring, he hit his compatriot with such force that he felt it for a long time.
“Tyson once said: “I’m the best heavyweight. If anyone can knock me down, they’ll take my Rolex watch.”
I said: “It’s hand in hand.” The gong rang and we met in the ring. We spent three or four rounds. Even Tyson said there’s this guy called Anthony Joshua, “I’ve sparred with him – he’s very strong, I’m telling you I’m not lying if I say he’s far and he’s going to do great things punching almost I’m going to lose my head.”
Then he stopped praising me, because he realized that I was following him. And so I began relentlessly following him around the division. And you know, this fight was by no means close,” Joshua was quoted as saying by DAZN.
Let’s recall that Usik’s former opponent earlier made a prediction for the Ukrainian’s rematch with Fury.
