Deontay has lost four of his last five fights
Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia Turki Al-Sheikh shared his opinion regarding a possible fight between the former world champion Deontay Wilder and British heavyweight Derek Chisora.
“They asked me about Wilder-Chisora and I said if Deontay is coming back, why not? But believe me, I tried twice and it didn’t work out.”
Chisora beat Joyce in his last fight. Derek managed to knock Joe down in the ninth round. In the end, all three judges gave the victory to Chisora.
Derek had his first fight in a year, before that the Briton defeated Gerald Washington in August 2023.
Deontay Wilder, 38, suffered his fourth career defeat in his last fight with Zhang Zhilei. Before the fight with Zhang, Wilder also lost to Parker in December 2023. After the defeat to Zhilei, the American seriously considered ending his career – although, for example, Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk believes that his colleague can still have at least one serious fight.
