Russian boxers Hussein Baysangurov and Tigran Uzlyan will face each other at the upcoming IBA Night of Champions tournament, which will take place on August 24 in the Venezuelan city of La Guaira, the show’s organizers told .
Baysangurov will face Nicolas Jara of Argentina in a 10-round bout for the WBA Continental America welterweight belt. Baysangurov, a former IBF international champion, 29, has 23 wins and one loss. Jara, 34, has 11 wins and five losses.
Tigran Uzlyan will meet Venezuelan Ender Lutses in a 6-round fight in the weight category up to 60 kg. Uzlyan’s statistics in professional boxing are 10 wins and one loss. In his previous fight in July, Uzlyan in St. Petersburg defeated Alexey Mazur by unanimous decision. Lutses has 21 wins and one loss, which he suffered in October 2023 in Perm in a duel with the 2020 Olympic champion, Russian Albert Batyrgaziev.
In the main fight of the “Night of IBA Champions” tournament, Venezuelan Albert Ramirez (18-0, KO 15) will fight for the WBA International light heavyweight belt with a native of the village of Semenovka, Omsk region, German Adam Deines (23-2-1, KO 14). In March 2021, Daines boxed in Moscow with Russian Artur Beterbiev, for whom this fight remains the only one in his professional career held on Russian territory.
