British boxer Tyson’s Fury announced his return to the professional ring, his future opponent will be the 38-year-old Derek Chisora . Fury told The Sun about it.
– I decided to return to boxing, because I can become the first heavyweight champion in history, which has two trilogies (three fights against the same opponent – ed. approx.), Fury said.
Fury announced his retirement in April this year after beating Britain’s Dillian Whyte. Afterwards, the 33-year-old boxer said he would be ready to return to fighting for the fight with Alexander Usyk if he beat Anthony Joshua again in a rematch. Fury won 32 out of 33 fights in the professional ring and ended one more fight in a draw.
The last fight for the Brits was a meeting with Deontay Wilder, which he won by knockout. This was the boxers’ third head-to-head fight, previous fights ended in a draw and Fury won.
Chisora in his last fight defeated Kubrat Pulev and won the vacant WBA international belt. The full WBA championship title belongs to Oleksandr Usyk.
Chisora and Fury met twice in the ring in 2011 and 2014. Tyson won both times.
