On the day of memory of the two-time Olympic boxing champion Boris Lagutin, a monument was unveiled at the Troekurovskoye cemetery in Moscow, the press service of the Russian Boxing Federation reports.

The monument to Boris Lagutin was created by Honored Sculptor of Russia Vladimir Usov. Among his works are monuments to two-time Olympic wrestling champion Ivan Yarygin and People’s Artist of Russia Dmitry Hvorostovsky.
Lagutin is a two-time Olympic champion, Olympic bronze medalist, two-time European champion, six-time USSR champion. He died on September 4, 2022 at the age of 84.
