Russian Vyacheslav Vasilievsky and Belarusian Vladislav Kovalev, nicknamed Belaz, will have a rematch on November 22 as part of the main event of the Ural FC 9 tournament in Nizhny Novgorod, the show’s organizers told .
The fight will take place under MMA rules only in standing position and will consist of three rounds. The first fight between Vasilevsky and Kovalev was the headliner of the Ural FC 6 tournament in March in Moscow. Then the victory went to Vasilevsky by split decision, but Kovalev’s team appealed to the Russian Boxing Federation, as a result of which the fight was declared invalid.
Kovalev, 26, has five wins and two losses in MMA. A six-time world champion in combat sambo, Vasilevsky, 36, in MMA, has won 36 wins and nine losses. He held the M-1 belt and also played in leagues such as Bellator, ACA, RCC, AMC Fight Nights.
