Through social networks, UFC released details of the news for lovers of fights and also told another surprise that promises to shake the world of MMA
On the morning of this Wednesday, the 10th, the UFC officially announced its new partnership for broadcasting on open TV in Brazil from the year 2023. This is “Band TV”, which, through an agreement with the largest MMA organization in the world, will show 12 live events between main cards, preliminary fights and Fight Nights.
It will be the return of the exhibition of Ultimate events on open channels in Brazil for the first time since 2018. With the agreement announced and launched, the expectation is that the Band will offer MMA fans a wide variety of content on digital platforms, in addition to a new weekly program, with previews of the duels and profiles of the most impactful athletes in the UFC.
In 2023, #UFC will be in @BandTV with up to 12 live events between main cards and preliminary matches. In addition, interviews, and much more content and behind the scenes of the biggest MMA event in the world.

Viewers will also be able to follow the preparation of the rising stars, the dominant champions and also the main activities of “Fight Week”, which include ceremonial weigh-ins, press conferences, interviews and attractions that take fans behind the scenes of the fights. After the announcement, “Band TV” was very excited about the news.
“For us, from Grupo Bandeirantes, it is a source of great pride to be able to say that we are the new open television partners of the UFC in Brazil from 2023. We are always looking for new and relevant products for the sports pillar of Band. UFC is a premium sports brand with huge importance and a huge number of fans in Brazil. It will be an excellent partnership for all of us”, highlighted Denis GavazziSports director of the Band.
UFC announces ‘fight streaming’ in Brazil!
In addition to the agreement announced with Band, the UFC has another novelty for Brazilian MMA fans starting next year. On January 1, 2023, “UFC Fight Pass” will launch in Brazil, a fully localized version of its pioneering fight streaming service. The direct-to-consumer digital service will become the ultimate platform for the UFC in Brazil, featuring all of its live events, original programming and the world’s largest combat sports library.
“Anyone who follows this sport knows the importance of Brazil for mixed martial arts and for Ultimate. Brazil is one of our biggest markets and has produced some of the best athletes this sport has ever seen. ‘Fight Pass’ will take our business to the next level by delivering all of our content directly to our fans“, said Dana White, president of the franchise.

“In addition, we are teaming up with Band, one of the biggest broadcasters in Brazil, which will provide massive exposure to Ultimate and help us grow our fan base and make this sport bigger than ever before.” by revealing the agreement with ‘Band TV’ to broadcast the fights in Brazil.
With the transmission of at least 12 events on open TV through Band and the arrival of its fight streaming in Brazil, Ultimate completely changes the way it brings events to Brazilian MMA fans. Thus, the long partnership between Ultimate and Canal Combate/TV Globo will come to an end. However, it is worth mentioning that all the events of the organization in Brazilian territory will continue to be broadcast by Combate until December of this year.
