Georgian fighter Merab Dvalishvili shared his emotions after winning the UFC bantamweight title.
On Sunday, Dvalishvili won at UFC 306 in Las Vegas (USA) Shauna O’Malley unanimous decision: 49-46, 48-47, 48-47.
“I didn’t feel like I was fighting for the championship belt.” I trained really hard. Today was a normal day for me.
It’s just crazy. I still can’t believe that this happened. Step by step, I achieved my goal.
I knew O’Malley was a great fighter, but I made him look ordinary. And today, I’m the best fighter in the UFC.
I implemented everything we had prepared. I didn’t notice any surprises. “I could do another 50 laps like this,” Dvalishvili told .
New champion Dvalishvili has 18 wins and four losses. O’Malley has 18 wins and two losses in his professional career (one other fight was declared a no contest).
