Warren: Usyk looked superior against Joshua

The promoter believes that the Ukrainian will be able to defeat Fury

Promoter Frank Warren believes that the Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk too strong for a british Anthony Joshua. According to Warren, only Tyson Fury can handle the Ukrainian.

“I saw Usyk with Chazz Witherspoon and then he fought Derek Chisora and he was okay in those fights. In the duel with Joshua, Usyk seemed to be above the class.

“Anthony did not use any of his physical qualities. I didn’t understand why this was happening.

I expected Joshua to jab Usyk or keep him at bay. Or Alexander will miss a right hand, but this did not happen. The Brit was interrupted by a smaller guy from a distance. I expected Usyk to go inside, but he just didn’t need to. The Ukrainian interrupted Joshua from a distance.”

“How to deal with him? I think Tyson will beat Usyk. Fury is somewhat similar to the Ukrainian and at the same time larger.

The promoter stated that he wants Joshua to win in the second leg with Usyk. But at the same time, he believes that Alexander will be able to stop Anthony in a rematch.

Warren previously announced that WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury would return to the ring. The manager believes that the Gypsy King will make a decision about his future after the Usyk-Joshua rematch.

Fury announced his retirement from professional football after a convincing victory over Dillian Whyte in April. At the same time, the Briton has not yet vacated the WBC championship belt.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. Last autumn, the Ukrainian defeated the Briton by unanimous decision and became the world heavyweight champion for the first time.
