The match at Wembley was attended by 98,128 people
IBF belt holder fight Daniel Dubois and the former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua set a new record for the largest spectator attendance at a boxing match in the 21st century.
The boxing evening took place at Wembley Stadium in London. The chairman of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al Al-Sheikh, who was in charge of organizing the event, said that 98,128 people attended the fight. The previous record was set in 2022, also at Wembley, when 94,000 people watched the fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte.
Dubois defeated Joshua in a fight that took place in London on Saturday, September 21. Daniel knocked AJ down three times and knocked his opponent out in the fifth round. Dubois defended the IBF title, which he received after Usyk relinquished it.
34-year-old Joshua suffered his fourth defeat in his career. Recall that in 2019 he lost to Andy Ruiz, and in 2021 and 2022 to Alexander Usyk.
