Michael Buffer: People may have been looking over Dubois’s shoulders and wondering what was next for Joshua

The fight between the two Britons ended with an unexpected victory for Daniel

Famous ring announcer Michael Buffer spoke about the resounding defeat Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) from IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KO).

“At the end of the first round, everyone’s mouth was open. It was like people were staring at the air. I think maybe people were looking over Dubois’s shoulder and wondering what was going to happen to AJ. When you fall in love with heavyweights, sometimes they break your heart,” Buffer said.

“The future looks great for this 26-year-old guy. He’s a great counterpuncher. It was very impressive.”
