The Ukrainian boxer has risen to the top of the list and is once again vying for a championship fight.
The World Boxing Council has updated its ranking of the best fighters in the light heavyweight division.
The first position on the WBC list was taken by the former holder of the title of the organization, the Ukrainian Alexander Gvozdyk, who in his last fight, in June of this year, lost by unanimous decision to David Benavidez.
The current holder of the organization’s light heavyweight belt is Russian Artur Beterbiev, who competes under the Canadian flag. On October 12, he will meet compatriot Dmitry Bivol in a fight for the title of absolute champion.
