Argentine fighter Aileen Perez violated the bantamweight weight limit before the fight against the Russian Daria Zhelezniakova at the UFC Fight Night tournament in Paris, reports the promotion’s press service.
Perez showed 61.68 kg on the scale with a limit of 61.23 kg. She will be fined 20% of the costs in favor of her opponent. Zheleznyakova (61.23 kg) managed to reach the weight.
On March 23, at a tournament in Las Vegas, Zheleznyakova made her UFC debut, defeating Mexican Montserrat Rendon. Perez has three wins and one loss in the UFC.
