Third victory for the British this year
British heavyweight, cousin of the former WBC world champion Tyson Fury, Hughie Fury (29-3, 16 KOs) defeated a boxer from Germany Christian Thun (9-2, 7 KOs).
The fight took place in Sheffield at the Canon Medical Arena and became the main event of the boxing evening.
In a spectacular fight with a lot of accurate and heavy blows, Fury won by decision of the judge: 76-74 in favor of the Briton.
It was previously reported that Fury is considering this fight as an element of preparation for a more status fight. The Briton has already won two victories in 2024: in April he defeated the Ukrainian Konstantin Dovbyshchenko on points, and three weeks later he knocked out the German Patrick Korte.
Thun had a two-year break in his career (by the way, like Fury). Christian returned to the ring in January with a stoppage victory over Jason Bergman in Florida.
