Olympic boxing champion Yegor Mekhontsev helped a police officer arrest an offender in Yekaterinburg, according to the Telegram channel of the Russian Boxing Federation.
“It turned out he hit someone with his car while he was drunk. As I approached, I realized that there was a struggle between a law enforcement representative and a man who, as it turned out, escaped from the court. “I went back to the car, took out my handcuffs, which I still had from my police department, and handed them over to law enforcement,” Mekhontsev said.
Mekhontsev is 39 years old. He is Olympic champion in 2012, world champion (2009) and double European champion (2008, 2010).
