UFC chief Dana White has addressed the topic of paying fighters. Recently, the promotion’s fighters have repeatedly expressed their displeasure with the financial terms.
Fighters always want to make more money. Believe me, these guys get paid what they deserve. They get a percentage of the salary for watching the fights and the money is split between all the fighters, if you don’t like that there is a simple solution to this problem. Go organize your own MMA organization, knock yourself out, pay them whatever you want. It’s been done before, how did it work for the other guys? Not so good, — quotes the words of White Middleeasy.
White also touched on the UFC’s attempt to bring Fedor Emelianenko to fight Brock Lesnar in 2009.
“I tried to organize this fight. We offered Fedor Emelianenko an obscene amount of money, but they didn’t want to fight. I don’t know what to tell you, said White.
