Russian fighter Artem Vakhitov defeated Frenchman Islem Masraf at the UFC DWCS 2024 Candidates Tournament.
The fight took place in the weight category up to 93 kg. Vakhitov eliminated his opponent in the first round.
After the tournament, Dana White said that all fighters with early victories would receive contracts with the UFC.
For the 33-year-old Russian fighter, this victory was the third in MMA, he also has one defeat. Masraf’s three-fight winning streak was snapped.
