Absolute light heavyweight world champion, Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev declared on that he was not considering a fight with his compatriot Dmitri Bivol the best of my career.
The fight for the title of absolute world light heavyweight champion took place on October 12 in Riyadh; Beterbiev, 39, won by majority decision.
— When you are already there, at the top, everyone is at the bottom, when you are the absolute world champion, how does a person in this status feel?
“For me, it was yesterday, I quickly forget those moments.” It’s good that we managed to win, I wasn’t alone, a lot of people helped me.
— The fight in Riyadh was the best of your career?
– I wouldn’t say it. I wish I could box better.
— Did you succeed in carrying out the plan?
— In general, the task was accomplished, but I would like it to be better.
-What are you unhappy about?
— When we prepare, there are always tasks to accomplish. Some things worked, some didn’t,” Beterbiev said on .
Beterbiev won 21 victories (20 by knockout) in the professional ring, Bivol had 23 victories and one defeat.
