Gvozdyk: Joshua understands that it is unlikely that he will be able to outbox Usyk

The ex-world champion believes that the Ukrainian will win by decision of the judges

Former light heavyweight world champion Alexander Gvozdyk thinks he’s British Anthony Joshua will try to impose power boxing in a rematch with a Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

“Both Usyk and Joshua both understand that the Englishman is unlikely to be able to outbox Sasha. It seems to me that Joshua will try to impose power boxing and break Alexander, this is exactly what Usyk should be ready for.

“Alexander is a professional of the highest level, but I don’t think that the situation in our country will greatly affect him. And if it has an impact, then as an additional motivation. Alexander will win the rematch. He will do it by the decision of the judges.

Earlier, Gvozdyk said that he expects a more spectacular fight from the rematch than he had in Usyk’s first fight with Joshua. The Ukrainian noted the British coach Robert Garcia, who previously coached Gvozdyk.

Usyk completed the training camp, which he held in Dubai. The Ukrainian is ready to go to Jeddah, where the duel with Joshua will take place.

In Ukraine, the broadcast of the Usyk-Joshua rematch will be hosted by the MEGOGO media service. The broadcast will be free for viewers in Ukraine. The screening will also be available on the regional channels of “Suspilny” and on Usyk’s YouTube channel – Usyk17.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. Last fall, the Ukrainian defeated Anthony by unanimous decision and became the world heavyweight champion for the first time.
